Update!

I have so many things to update you on...so here goes!  The Zumbathon was incredible.  We raised about $3,000 and it has been a tremendous help with the last trip we went on.  Cyndi, Bridgett, Longview Heights Baptist Church, and all you Zumba lovers are angels.  The more I think about you as I am sitting here...i just overflow with tears.  You can't imagine how greatful I am for your support.

We also set up a booth at the Bridgetown Crafts Fair last month and it was a great success.  We had candy and original art work.  Some of you may know that my stepdad is a wonderful artists and he sold 8 of his paintings to help with Noahs Little Ears.  He was so excited and we were excited for him.

Finally, Noah just had his 3rd surgery.  This surgery was stage 2 on both ears.  We flew into California on Wed. (Oct 27), surgery was on Thurs. (Oct 28), and then we flew home on Fri. (Oct 29).  So it was the shortest trip of all the surgeries.  Noah was in surgery for about 3 hours and when he woke up we were able to go back to the hotel and rest.  Well...I wanted to rest, Noah had other plans.  He was ready to play with all the other kids at the hotel.  When we got home Noah was able to dress up for halloween and go trick-or-treating.  On Thurs. (Nov 4) we went to see a plastic surgeon here in Memphis and he took the bandages off and some of the stitches out.  Noah was excited.  He stopped me as we were leaving the office to look at his reflection in the window of the doctors office.  I told him he could see better if we went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror, so he made a mad dash to the restroom.

Noah is doing fabulous!  He has such a great spirit even after everything he has been through.  Oh, if we all had such childlike faith, what amazing things we could accomplish.

  1. Dear Noah, Your story really touched my heart today. I cannot imagine any kids at school not treating you like A Normal Kid, You are just as normal as other Humans. You are brave and you are a Beautiful Human being. I hope and pray that your mom's efforts will reach the world and the Doctors can try and help you. Hang in there and stay strong. You are Beautiful Just the Way God Made you little Noah. God Bless , Daniel

  2. Dear Noah's Parents,
I am so touched by your story! I to have a preemeie...micro preemie..she was born at 24 weeks and 3 days....weighed 1 pound 7 oz. Although, my husband and I went through some MAJOR ups and down, we were blessed with a beautiful daughter without any major complications. When I read your story, it reminded me of how often I thank GOD for her. It is now almost 8 years later and she is wonderful, but I do think of it every morning when I drop her off at school. My family and I will pray for you and will think of you during our nightly prayers. God Bless you and and may you find peace during this holiday season!
